We advise a wide range of UK and international clients including
businesses from the construction, re-insurance, oil & gas
exploration, chemical, leisure, telecoms and manufacturing sectors.
We represent clients in the world's major arbitration centres where
our specialist legal skills and industry knowledge provides
our clients with imaginative and effective strategies for the
resolution of their disputes.
We apply to stay proceedings brought in
breach of arbitration clauses, act as Counsel in arbitrations under
the procedural rules of numerous institutions such as the ICC,
LCIA, AAA and CIETAC, and assist our clients to enforce or
resist enforcement of arbitral awards.
Our experience includes:
- advising on more than 10 USA and UK
interrelated arbitrations with a value of in excess of
US$300million in the reinsurance sector
- advising a leading German group on €20million
claims in relation to the installation of technical plant in
Bahrain
- representing a Middle Eastern business in an ICC arbitration
regarding an invesment dispute in excess of US$2billion
- acting for an Eastern European business in an arbitration
relating to disputes arising from its West African investments
