Training for Life
(TFL) is a charity that helps people who are facing challenges
make positive change and prepare them for education and
employment. It aims to promote a more inclusive society by
contributing to the regeneration of communities and to the lives of
individuals within those communities. By helping people and
communities to fulfil their potential, it is possible to tackle and
prevent difficulties including unemployment, deprivation and
disadvantage and community conflict. It provides help to
everyone who needs assistance, from ex-prisoners to former members
of the armed forces who need help adjusting to civilian
life.
As part of its activities, TFL runs a
training restaurant (the
Hoxton Apprentice) and is preparing to open a training hotel, both
of which promote the skills that people need to get back into the
workplace. It also operates several centres that provide
support in a non-workplace environment.
