significant transactions and clients from leading companies across
the sector.
Involved in many significant development
transactions, we have advised on a wide range of development
projects including City headquarters, industrial and distribution
parks, office complexes, hotels, leisure and residential
developments for developers, funders and end-users.
We work closely with a client's development
team to anticipate problems and provide legally effective and
commercially relevant advice in order to achieve the client's
commercial objectives, often within tight deadlines. Where
possible, we will suggest ways of “adding value”, whether by
adopting a particular structure, negotiating additional provisions
into a contract or otherwise.
Our experience includes:
- the acquisition of Donington Park Racing
circuit - with a view to development of a mixed use scheme centered
around the racetrack
- the acquisition of two development sites on
the south coast, through a collaboration agreement with a leading
housebuilder, the commercial part of the sites to be used for mixed
retail and leisure - the acquisition involving a lease back and
environmental clean up
- the development of an 80-acre mixed use (B1,
B2 and B8) site through a joint venture agreement with the
freeholder
- acting for Manhattan Loft Corporation on
their development of St Pancreas Chambers to provide residential,
hotel and leisure/retail
- acting for AIB in providing development
funding for a substantial residential scheme in west London and a
mixed use residential/retail/leisure scheme in the city
