Breakfast Workshop - Energy Performance Certificates

28 May 2008

On 28 May we will be holding the first in a series of our Senior Assistant Breakfast Workshops at our offices. At the first workshop we will be considering issues relating to Energy Performance Certificates (EPC).

The workshop will cover:

  • what is an EPC
  • legislative framework
  • penalties for non-compliance

In addition we will have a guest speaker, Robert Corbyn - Commercial Energy Assessor, Chartered Mechanical & Electrical Services Quantity Surveyor, RLF, who will speak about:

  • the impact of EPBD on existing non-residential building stock
  • the differences between an EPC and a DEC
  • how long does an energy assessment take?
  • what is the key information required to undertake an assessment
  • how much might an EPC cost and can this be based on floor
    area

The workshop is intended to be an informal discussion over breakfast.  We are happy to address any concerns or issues relating to the topic that you might have.

Attendees are limited to 15 guests and we expect that places will go quickly (our breakfasts are famous!). The workshop will start at 08.30 and conclude at 09.30 prompt.

If you would like to attend, please contact seminars@ffw.com.
