We are the first ever major law firm to open an office in ‘Second Life’, a virtual three-dimensional world. Second Life was created by US company Linden Lab in 2003 and is one of the world’s fastest growing virtual worlds. There are currently over five million users resident in Second Life alone and the combined value of the major virtual world economies now exceeds the GDP of many nation states. This value is built around the creation, acquisition and trading of virtual property and possessions.

We've provided you with some screen shots of our in-world office and details of how to access Second Life are listed below. Virtual worlds are presenting significant opportunities for digital interaction and transactions and as they increase in popularity it is likely that they will become an important distribution channel. We have a strong media and technology focus and opening up an office in Second Life reflects the firm’s position advising clients at the cutting-edge of digital technology. Our presence in Second Life will bring the opportunity to communicate with a broad online audience and interact with both potential clients and recruits.
