Field Fisher Waterhouse advises on bglobal AIM listing
08 May 2007
Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP has advised Charles Stanley
Securities, the nominated adviser and broker to bglobal plc (the
leading provider of smart metering solutions for the UK energy
market) on its £30 million listing on AIM.
Launched in 2004, bglobal plc provides smart metering services
to record and monitor energy consumption, maximising the
opportunities for energy savings. Since deregulation of the energy
market, smart metering has been on the horizon for a number of
years, and has become ever more topical following energy price
hikes, poor energy billing and the need to reduce carbon
emissions.
The company has installed over 10,000 smart meters in the
current financial year, and is in the process of rolling out the
installation of a further 47,000 meters within the next year.
Clients of bglobal plc includes energy suppliers British Gas and
npower, and end-users such as Vodafone, T-mobile and
Mothercare.
Dominic Gurney

the placing on AIM. The completion of the deal follows the firm
winning the AIM lawyer of the year award at the Growth Company
Awards 2007 last week. Other recent listings the firm has advised
on include those for Sun TV Shop, Ceramic Fuel Cells Limited, AGI
Therapeutics and Myhome International plc.
