Field Fisher Waterhouse advises on purchase of three hotels for over £50m

Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP has advised several Danish limited
partnerships sponsored by Griffin Ejendomme A/S, a Danish
investment company, on the purchase of three Accor hotels from AXA
Sun Life Plc for £58.5 million.
Griffin Ejendomme A/S is part of the Griffin
group, one of Denmark’s largest companies in the sale and provision
of properties to investors.
The three hotels, Novotel London City South,
Novotel Milton Keynes and Ibis Kingston upon Hull, have 412 rooms
and a net income of approximately £2.8 million per year.
Real Estate partner Edward Bannister led on
the deal, assisted by Real Estate solicitors Gavin Vollans and
Jasmin Hare. This deal demonstrates the strength of the firm’s
multidisciplinary Hotels & Leisure
Group, which acts for a range of big name clients including
Luminar plc, Wyndham Worldwide, Holiday Inn and Whitbread. The
Group comprises 11 partners and 20 other lawyers across the firm's
four European offices.
Edward Bannister said: “The firm acts for a
number of Danish clients, both on the banking and investment side.
This group of hotel purchases for Griffin represent some of the
many Danish deals we been handling over the last three years.”
