Top tech and telecoms litigator joins Field Fisher Waterhouse

European law firm, Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP
announces today the appointment of partner Andrew Dodd, who joins the firm from DLA Piper
on 8th September. Andrew joins the firm’s IP & Technology
Dispute Resolution Group which will now comprise a dedicated team
of seven partners and 14 other lawyers.
Andrew has been a partner at DLA Piper for
seven years, and previously worked for Denton Wilde Sapte and
Stephenson Harwood. Andrew’s principal practice area is the
prosecution and defence of substantial contract disputes arising
out of IT and telecommunications agreements. He has acted for
prominent IT companies such as EDS and TranSys and large
telecommunications companies such as COLT and Symbian.
Andrew’s appointment is the third lateral hire
this year specialising in technology and telecommunications, with
the arrival of partners Katrina Dick from Lovells in June and
Hamish Sandison from Bird & Bird in April.
This latest lateral hire will further
strengthen the firm’s well-recognised IP & Technology Dispute
Resolution Group, with Andrew boosting the firm’s capability in IT
and telecommunications litigation.
