08 July 2009
Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP’s Paris office announces today the
appointment of partner Christopher
Mesnooh.
Christopher is a French and US qualified lawyer and advises
international businesses, particularly those based in the US, on
establishing themselves in France and the rest of
Europe. Specialising in both corporate and technology law, he has particular expertise in
mergers and acquisitions, financing and
capital risk and advises a number of cutting edge technology
companies based in Silicon Valley.
Christopher joins Field Fisher Waterhouse from Hughes Hubbard
& Reed where he was a partner. He has over 20 years’
experience practising in both the US and France having studied at
Columbia University and Yale Law School. He is a member of the
European-American Chamber of Commerce, the Yale Law School
Executive Committee, Human Rights Watch (France) and the Dean’s
Advisory Board of the Columbia University School of International
& Public Affairs.
Field Fisher Waterhouse offers its clients a full service office
in Paris with a strong capability in
corporate finance, restructuring & insolvency, IP, technology, regulatory and litigation. As with Field
Fisher Waterhouse’s other European offices, the plan is for
sustainable growth, building upon the firm’s presence in Europe’s
main jurisdictions.
Bruno Paccioni, Managing Partner of
the Paris office said: “Christopher’s arrival reinforces the
international focus of the Paris office and our growing US client
base. His appointment will strengthen simultaneously our existing
M&A and Capital Risk teams headed up by Philippe Netto and our
technology law practice led by Bruno Ducoulombier.”
Christopher Mesnooh said: “I am delighted to be joining Field
Fisher Waterhouse’s Paris office. The firm’s European offices will
provide a notable European platform for my international client
base, particularly those based in North America, and its reputation
in IP and IT will be very useful to many of my own US clients in
the technology space.”
