Field Fisher Waterhouse appointed to the SRA’s new disciplinary panel
08 June 2009
Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP has won a place on the Solicitor’s
Regulation Authority’s (SRA) revamped disciplinary proceedings
panel. The new panel replaces the previous arrangement where
the panel was made up of individual advocates.
Field Fisher Waterhouse will serve an initial three year period
and will provide a variety of legal services
including advising on prosecutions before the Solicitors
Disciplinary Tribunal (SDT), appeals against SDT decisions and
regulatory appeals.
Tom Rider, partner in Field Fisher
Waterhouse’s Public and Regulatory Law
Group, is the lead partner, working with associate Rosemarie Paul.
The firm has a leading reputation advising on professional
regulatory work with other clients, including the General Medical
Council (GMC), the General Dental Council (GDC), and the General
Teaching Council for England (GTC).
Lead partner Tom Rider said: “We are delighted to have been
appointed to the panel and look forward to working with the SRA
over the coming years to advise them on disciplinary matters.”
