Field Fisher Waterhouse advises new client NBC Universal on creation of television production company

Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP has advised new client NBC Universal
on a joint venture with UK film production company Working Title
Films, to launch Working Title Television (WTTV). WTTV is a joint
venture between NBC Universal, Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner, both
co-Chairmen of Working Title Films and is based in London and Los
Angeles.
Leading global media and entertainment company NBC Universal is
Working Title’s parent company. Working Title Films is the UK film
production company behind hits including Four Weddings and a
Funeral and Shaun of the Dead. In the US and international markets,
WTTV’s output will be distributed by NBC Universal. WTTV’s first US
commission is a new NBC pilot, Love Bites, a romantic comedy
created by Cindy Chupack, producer and writer of Sex and the
City.

finance Andrew Blankfield led on the
deal, assisted by Tom Ward.
The firm has a strong reputation in the media sector, with major clients including the
BBC, Viacom, Hammer Film Holdings and Getty Images.
