Field Fisher Waterhouse strengthens data protection practice

Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP has boosted its market-leading data
protection practice with the appointment of Phil Lee as a senior
associate in its Privacy and Information Law Group.
Formerly with Osborne Clarke, Phil is an acknowledged data
protection specialist with significant experience in all aspects of
data privacy and information law. Phil has particular expertise in
the areas of e-privacy and online behavioural targeting and is
actively involved in the development of the law in these areas in
the UK and across the EU.
Prior to training as a lawyer, Phil studied and worked in the IT
industry, gaining an in-depth knowledge and experience of issues
and matters important to clients. Described by Legal 500 as having
a “down-to-earth approach and extensive technical knowledge”, Phil
regularly writes on matters relating to information technology and
data privacy, including co-authoring a chapter on UK privacy laws
in the book ‘Global Privacy Laws’.

This appointment brings the total number of dedicated specialist

information practice to 14. The group is the largest practice in

bodies.
