Field Fisher Waterhouse advises Sanhua on take-over of Aweco refrigerator components unit

Hamburg, 14 October 2011 – Field Fisher
Waterhouse has acted as adviser to Sanhua Co Ltd on the acquisition
of the refrigerator components unit of Aweco Applicance Systems
GmbH & Co. KG.
Sanhua Co Ltd is controlled by Chinese conglomerate Sanhua
Holding Group and has more than 6500 employees. The
company specialises in research, manufacture and sales of
refrigeration and air-conditioning control components and has been
stock-listed in China since 2009. Sanhua runs offices and
subsidiaries in China, Korea, Thailand, Japan, the USA and Spain.
The take-over of the refrigerator business of Aweco marks the
company’s first engagement in Germany.
Aweco Appliance Systems is a leading supplier for the white
goods industry. Founded in 1960, the company has around 2000 staff
has its headquarters in the Southern German Neukirch and
subsidiaries in Austria, Poland, Mexico and China.
A team from the Hamburg Field Fisher Waterhouse office led by
corporate partner Dr. Florian Streiber advised Sanhua in all
aspects of German law, especially with regards to due diligence,
contract matters and the transfer of all assets.
