FFW advise on sale of Beach Magazines and Publishing Ltd to Future Publishing Limited

Field Fisher Waterhouse advised on the sale of Beach Magazines
and Publishing Ltd (Beach) to Future Publishing Limited (Future).
It was sold for an initial consideration of £1.5 million and up to
a further £1.5 million, deferred for one year and subject to the
business meeting certain targets.
Beach was founded in 1998 as a high-production value, special
interest publishing house. It publishes three niche titles:
Junior, Junior Pregnancy & Baby and
Wedding Day. All are firmly established, Wedding
Day with an audited circulation of 31,679, and look set to
benefit from Future’s strong newsstand presence.
Both Beach’s editorial content and its location in West London will
remain unchanged for the foreseeable future.
Ellen Fleming, corporate partner and head of FFW’s specialist
publishing group, led the FFW team. She was assisted by corporate
associate Laurence Lumb.
