FFW advise new client NHSU on £50 million project

City law firm Field Fisher Waterhouse has advised new client
NHSU (the “Corporate University” of the NHS) on various aspects of
a complex e-learning project worth approximately £50 million, after
winning a competitive tender.
NHSU is the educational arm of the NHS and focuses on training
and education for the NHS. FFW have begun advising on NHSU’s
virtual campus project, designed to provide the infrastructure for
desk-top learning within the NHS and due to be completed in the
first half of 2004. The firm is advising on all aspects of the
contractual arrangements for the procurement of technology and the
provision of a managed service for the ‘e-learning’ platform and
learner services.
The FFW project team is being led by partner Paul Barton, assisted
by Robert Shooter.
