FFW has been appointed to advise new client NHSU (the 'Corporate
University' of the NHS) on a complex e-learning project worth
approximately £30 million, after winning a competitive tender.
NHSU is the educational arm of the NHS and focuses on training
and education for the NHS. FFW will advise on NHSU's virtual campus
project, designed to provide the infrastructure for desk-top
learning within the NHS and due to be completed in the first half
of 2004.
The firm will advise on all aspects of the contractual
arrangements for the procurement of technology and the provision of
a managed service for the 'e-learning' platform and learner
services.
The FFW team will be led by partner Paul Barton, assisted by
Robert Shooter and Justin Harrington.
Paul Barton says: "We are pleased to be advising on this
strategically important project. In line with the FFW approach to
new clients we're looking forward to fostering a strong
relationship on this and other projects going forward."
Penny McConnell, Head of Legal Affairs at NHSU, says: "We are
excited about this new project and delighted to be working with a
