FFW’s Antony Phillips elected Chairman of Property Litigation Association

Antony Phillips, newly-appointed property litigation partner of City firm Field Fisher Waterhouse (FFW), was elected Chairman of the Property Litigation Association (PLA) on 7th October. His appointment follows hot on the heels of his arrival at FFW from Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw.

The PLA (visit www.pla.org.uk) is the association of property litigation solicitors. Its members, who specialise in all aspects of property litigation including commercial, residential and agricultural property law, number around 590. The President of the PLA is the Rt. Hon Lord Justice Neuberger.

  • To promote specialist property litigation skills within the property industry and among others with interest in property
  • To provide a network for the exchange of information among members of the Association
  • To promote and encourage education and training in property litigation
  • To develop a public voice of property litigation with a media profile and a lobbying capacity

Antony Phillips, who was formerly the Chairman of the Education and Training sub-committee, says:
“The PLA has become an important sounding board and consultation body for new law and procedure, as well as providing training to and promoting good practice amongst property litigators. I am honoured to have been elected its Chairman.

Having recently been appointed Head of Property Litigation at FFW, working in a strong real estate team which is looking to increase its turnover significantly in the next two years, I am looking forward to the challenges ahead.”
