CMS Cameron McKenna LLP and FFW acts for Luminar on Candu disposal

International law firm CMS Cameron McKenna LLP and leading City
law firm FFW has acted for long-term client Luminar plc on the sale
of its subsidiary Candu Entertainment Limited, the owner of 49
nightclubs, for £27m.
CMS Cameron McKenna LLP advised Luminar on the corporate, tax
and pensions aspects of the deal. The sale was led by corporate
partners Andrew Sheach and David Bresnick, and corporate assistant
Sinéad Goss, and was supported by corporate assistant Amy Watson;
on tax matters by partner Mark Nichols and assistant Sarah Buxton;
and on pensions matters by assistant David Owen.
Field Fisher Waterhouse advised Luminar on the property aspects
of the deal. The large FFW team was led by partners Paul Houston,
and Ramatu Banga and Jayne Elkins and included eight assistants.
