FFW advises Harefield Academy Trust on a new £20 million school
project
Field Fisher Waterhouse (FFW) has been instructed by Harefield
Academy Trust to advise on all construction aspects of a new £20
million school in Harefield, Uxbridge, following a competitive
tender.
The project is to be undertaken at the site of the John Penrose
school which will be replaced by the new Harefield Academy, which
will have a sport, health and wellbeing specialism. The
Academy is being funded by the DfES and others, including directors
of Watford Football Club (WFC), a Coca-Cola Championship
team. It will boast an internal dry training facility to be
used by students of the Academy, the Local Community, and WFC
Football Academy and is due for completion in December 2006.
The team is being led by Construction Partner Lawrence Bruce
with support from senior solicitor Olivia Bateman.
The win builds on the considerable experience of the firm’s
Construction, Engineering and Projects Group in DfES projects.
