FFW advises Borders & Southern Petroleum plc on placing and admission to AIM

Field Fisher Waterhouse acted for Ocean Equities Limited, broker
for Borders & Southern Petroleum plc on its £10 million placing
and admission to trading on AIM with a market capitalisation of
£25.5 million.
Borders & Southern Petroleum plc was formed as a public
limited company in June 2004 with the intention of building an
international oil and gas exploration production business
acquiring, evaluating and developing oil and gas projects.
The net proceeds of the placing will be used to enable an
exploration programme to be carried out on production licences near
the Falkland Islands and to enable the company to assess and
acquire interests in further international exploration projects
which meet the company's investment criteria.
The FFW team was lead by corporate finance partner Anthony
Brockbank who was assisted by Brad Isaac.
Insinger de Beaufort acted as nominated adviser to the
placing.
