FFW appointed to advise Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Government Offices on IT Services Outsourcing Project
05 May 2005
Field Fisher Waterhouse will advise the Office of the Deputy
Prime Minister (ODPM) and the Government Offices (GOs) on its joint
IT Services Outsourcing Project. FFW was appointed as sole external
legal adviser on the project following a competitive tender
process. Earlier this year, FFW advised The Foreign and
Commonwealth Office on a strategic partnership contract with global
IT provider Hewlett-Packard.
ODPM is the central government department responsible for policy
on housing, planning, devolution, regional (includes GOs) and local
government and the fire service. Its IT Services Outsourcing
Project will outsource existing IT services to the private
sector.
FFW’s project team is being led by partner Michael Chissick,
Head of the ICT Group, and comprises senior solicitors Rob Shooter
and Andrew Joint. It also includes partner Richard Kenyon. The team
is supporting the joint ODPM and GO in-house team who are running
the project.
