FFW boosts its corporate and technology practices with two more partner appointments
01 February 2006
Field Fisher Waterhouse (FFW) announces today the appointment of
two new partners – Neil Foster and David Naylor - both of
whom join the firm from the London office of Morrison &
Foerster, where they have worked together for five years. These
latest appointments follow that of partner Simon Briskman, who
joined FFW earlier this month from Olswang.
Neil Foster represents domestic and international companies and
financial institutions on all aspects of corporate finance,
including securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions and
venture capital. Neil has represented numerous U.S. and Asian
companies – mainly in the technology, media, telecoms and
healthcare sectors - on their UK and pan-European acquisitions,
disposals, fundraisings and strategic investments. Neil has
recently advised clients including Echostar Satellite Corporation,
Zone Vision, Arcadia Biosciences, Linkbrokers, Ask Jeeves and
Pacific Crossing.
David Naylor focuses on advising technology and IP-rich
businesses on complex commercial arrangements, technology
licensing, and services arrangements. He regularly advises clients
on UK and EU transactions and matters involving IT, IP,
telecommunications, e-commerce, consumer protection and data
protection policy and regulation. David has recently advised
clients such as Ask Jeeves, CBS MarketWatch, Korn/Ferry, NTT
DoCoMo, Saba, Sungard and Qwest.
FFW Corporate Finance Partner, Andrew Blankfield, and Michael
Chissick, FFW’s Head of Technology Law, said: “We are delighted to
welcome Neil and David to the firm's corporate and technology
practices. They are an excellent strategic fit and continue
the momentum we have built in both our corporate finance practice,
with the recent arrivals of Alex Woodfield from Kilpatrick &
Lockhart Nicholson Graham and Anne Cruikshank from Linklaters, and
in our technology practice, with the recruitment of Simon Briskman
from Olswang earlier this month.”
Colin McArthur, FFW’s Managing Partner, added: “The appointment
of both these partners marks an important point in the wider growth
plans and strategic changes at FFW and we look forward to their
contribution to the firm’s future success.”
