FFW advises on acquisition for Norwegian oil and gas services group

Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP (FFW) has advised Ability Group
(AGR), a Norwegian oil and gas services group on the acquisition of
Peak Group (Peak), an Aberdeen-based oil drilling services
group.
The acquisition of Peak expands AGR’s international presence,
and will make AGR’s petroleum services division the leading
supplier of complete drilling management services to oil companies
operating on the UK continental shelf.
The £28 million transaction was timed to coincide with AGR’s
listing on the Oslo Børs. This is the company’s second UK
acquisition this year, following on from the acquisition of
Technology Design Ltd, based in Cheshire, a deal FFW also advised
on.
FFW corporate lawyer, John McLaughlin led on the deal, assisted
by lawyers across the firm including corporate lawyers, Charu
Nagpal and Katie Ashton.
Aberdeen based firm Paull & Williamsons, advised the owners
of Peak Group on the sale.
