Leading pensions team joins Field Fisher Waterhouse in Brussels

The Brussels office of Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP announces
today the appointment of leading pensions lawyer, Corinne Merla who joins
the firm as a partner, bringing with her a team of three assistant
solicitors.
Corinne’s leading pensions team enjoy a strong reputation and
are ranked in Chambers Europe for their expertise. She joins
Field Fisher Waterhouse from Benelux firm, Loyens & Loeff.
This is yet another hire for Field Fisher Waterhouse’s newly
opened European offices, following on from the appointments of
Dr. Felix
Wittern and Dr.
Alexandra von Bismarck who joined the firm’s Hamburg office
earlier this month. The new hires reflect the firm’s
continued focus on growth of its European capability, with new
offices in Germany and
Belgium and exclusive
relationships with firms in Spain and Italy.
Corinne specialises in advising employers, pension funds and
insurance companies on occupational pension schemes. She is
experienced in the regulatory, employment and tax aspects of
pensions law and is a widely published author in these areas.
Corinne has a strong client base including a number of well-known
large employers.
Corinne and her team will work closely with the highly regarded
partners in Field Fisher Waterhouse’s Pensions Group in London,
whose clients include Electricity Pensions, Arriva, and the
Government Actuary’s Department.
