Field Fisher Waterhouse passes second milestone in ambitious growth strategy during year of major European expansion
21 May 2007
European law firm Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP has announced its
results for the financial year ending 30 April 2007. During
the year, the firm launched two new offices in Hamburg and Brussels, entered into ongoing
discussions with Dubarry in Paris about a merger, and
agreed an exclusive relationship with Jiménez de Parga in
Spain. These developments represent Field Fisher Waterhouse’s
new European strategy, superseding the successful European Legal
Alliance.
The firm’s figures are as follows:

In November 2004 Field Fisher Waterhouse put in place an
ambitious strategy for growth, which targeted an increase in
turnover from (then) £47 million to £75 million by 2008. This set
of figures marks the mid-point in that process and demonstrates
that the firm is on track to meet this target. The firm has
moved its financial year end from March to April and these figures
represent the twelve months to 30 April 2007.
Moira Gilmour,
Field Fisher Waterhouse managing partner, said: “I am very
encouraged by these results in a year where we have invested
heavily in our business. We have put in place the foundations
to become a full service European law firm; have acquired new
premises and made substantial improvements to our IT
infrastructure. Our strong financial performance, even with
the major investment, is down to the excellence of our lawyers and
the continued success of our lateral hires programme.”
