Field Fisher Waterhouse appoints new property finance head

Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP announces today the appointment of
partner John
Nelmes who joins the firm as Head of Property
Finance.
John joins Field Fisher Waterhouse from Davies Arnold Cooper
where he was Head of Property Finance for eight years. He has
over 20 years experience advising on a variety of property
finance matters including commercial property investment and
development transactions, residential funding, healthcare finance
and hotel/leisure funding. He has a strong client base comprising
both banks and borrowers and is ranked as a leading real
estate/property finance lawyer in the Chambers and Legal 500
directories. He also acts for various Danish property
investment companies, an area where Field Fisher Waterhouse already
has established a strong position.
John is the latest in a number of recent lateral hires for the
firm – the latest being
planning partner Sarah Youren,
Brussels-based employment partner,
Olivier
Rijckaert and IP partner,
Hamish Porter,
who all joined the firm in September.
John joins Field Fisher Waterhouse’s 16 partner Real Estate Group,
boosting the firm’s existing property
finance capability which draws specialist expertise from
commercial property, banking and finance, tax and financial
services and has a range of UK and international banking
clients.
