Field Fisher Waterhouse boosts commercial litigation practice with new hire

18 August 2008

European law firm, Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP announces today the appointment of partner Tony Lewis, who joins the firm’s Commercial Litigation practice from Peters & Peters.

Tony is the second commercial litigation partner to join the firm in as many months, following the appointment of Kit Jarvis from Howrey at the end of May.

Tony has over ten years’ experience in litigation and is a recognised expert in fraud litigation, investigations and emergency procedures including worldwide freezing orders, search orders and asset tracing. He has advised on a broad range of high profile, complex and multi-party cases and has particular expertise in relation to the financial services sector. Tony also has extensive mediation experience and acted in one of the largest mediated settlements ever achieved.

Prior to joining Peters & Peters in 2005, Tony worked at CMS Cameron McKenna for ten years.

Field Fisher Waterhouse announced ambitious growth plans in May, aiming to more than double fee revenue to £200 million by 2012. This latest appointment is the sixth lateral hire of the current financial year, bringing the total number of partners at firm to 124.

Peter Stewart, Head of the Commercial Litigation practice at Field Fisher Waterhouse, said: “We are pleased to welcome Tony to our growing practice. He has an excellent reputation in fraud litigation and like recent lateral hire Kit Jarvis, his expertise in the financial sector will further boost our capability in this area.”
