Ian Craig is a partner in the IT/IP Dispute Resolution
Group. Ian has practiced in the field of intellectual
property since 1984. In this time he has acted for a number
of substantial companies in relation to a wide range of disputes
involving their intellectual property, including patent disputes on
medical devices and biotech inventions through to major disputes
concerning the patentability of software. Ian also deals with
copyright
and
trade mark issues and advises companies generally on how to
avoid litigation and how to best exploit their intellectual
property assets.
During his career Ian has advised boards of major international
companies in relation to intellectual property and has dealt with
experts in a number of highly technical fields. Ian is also a
Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and an accredited
CEDR Mediator and an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of
Patent Agents. Ian also teaches patent law at Cambridge
University.
