Judith Chrystie is a partner in Field Fisher
Waterhouse’s Public and Regulatory Law
Group. Judith specialises in public and regulatory law
and acts for public, regulatory and commercial clients. Prior
to joining the firm, Judith was Director for Conduct at the General
Optical Council and remains active in this field advising clients
in the optical healthcare sector.
Judith advises private clients and public bodies
on a wide-range of regulatory provisions and practice-based
issues. Judith handles fitness to practise cases, High Court
applications and judicial review claims and acts as Legal Assessor
to a number of committees and panels.
Judith is described in the Chambers Guide to
the Legal Profession as “outstanding”… “superb across the
board," and she "understands the regulatory environment
inside-out.”
Judith is regularly invited to speak at regulatory
conferences and runs training courses for clients on a variety of
topics such as acting in a judicial capacity, human rights and
natural justice, evidence in disciplinary matters and the police
complaints system.
