Simon Chamberlain is a partner and heads our Aviation Group. He has more than 25 years' in
depth experience as a lawyer in the aviation industry, including
ten years as an in-house lawyer at British Airways.
He advises scheduled and charter airlines, lessors, financiers,
corporations and high net worth individuals in the UK and across
the world on a variety of transactions including aircraft and
engine purchase, sale, financing and leasing, and aircraft and
engine maintenance and support agreements. As well as dealing with
airline franchise agreements, slot exchange agreements and aviation
regulatory issues such as airline operating licences, air
operator's certificates, route licences, bilateral air services
agreements and IATA issues, he provides advice across a broad range
of commercial matters, both contentious and non-contentious,
arising from the worldwide aviation industry. In addition to his
aviation expertise, he has considerable experience in relation to
the purchase and leasing of, and related maintenance arrangements
for, railway rolling stock within the UK and
Europe.
