Simon Chapman is a partner in our IP/IT Dispute Resolution
Group.
Simon’s work covers all areas of intellectual
property including trade
marks, patents,
copyright,
designs
and confidential information, with particular emphasis on brand
protection. He also has a wealth of experience of
developing and implementing internet enforcement programmes to
protect clients’ brands on the internet and is appointed by Nominet
as an expert under their Dispute Resolution System. He has
extensive experience of advising on technology disputes, including
pre-termination strategies.
He has dealt with disputes in the County Court, High Court,
Court of Appeal and the European Court of Justice and has on many
occasions applied for interim injunctive relief. He also advises on
Alternative Dispute Resolution (including
mediation).
Simon is identified in "Legal Business" as a leading IP
practitioner in the UK. He also appears in "The Guide to the
World's Leading Trade Mark Law Practitioners". He lectures
and writes extensively on intellectual property issues. He is a
member of The Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys, Marques, The
Intellectual Property Lawyers Organisation and The Institute of
Directors.
