Andrew Dodd

Andrew Dodd is a partner in our London office. His principal practice area is the prosecution and defence of substantial disputes arising out of software, outsourcing, IT and telecommunications contracts.

He acts for major IT suppliers and leading UK telecommunications operators as well as public sector clients.

He advised EDS, at his previous firm, in relation to various implementation, service and sub contractor issues arising from the government outsourcing of computer and telephonic services for HMPS. He acted for EDS as one of the partners in the team defending a £740 million action brought by BskyB in relation to the upgrade of UK call centres, which was one of the largest disputes before the courts in 2008.

Andrew has acted in various major telecommunications disputes, involving the obtaining or releasing of injunctive relief, representations at mediations and the prosecution of proceedings brought in various forums. These include acting for a major telecommunications provider in relation to injunctive proceedings brought by an internet service provider (in the High Court and Court of Appeal) followed by a multi-million pound tracing exercise and contractual claim.

He has also advised a corporate consortium on various issues arising from the implementation of a transport ticketing system, including complex issues arising from software implementation, IPR exchange and shareholder obligations under both lead and sub contracts.

Andrew has contributed to various professional publications as well as commented in the Times and FT.com on litigation topics.
