Teruo Kato has an unusual background as a lawyer. Having studied
Monetary Economics at Hitotsubashi University and the London School
of Economics, he joined a Japanese bank and came to the UK as its
expatriate in 1985. At that time he was an FFW client.
In 1992 he left the bank and changed his career to English law. He
qualified as solicitor in 1997 and joined FFW's Corporate
Department as a partner in April 2000.
Teruo advises our Japanese clients, e.g. UK offices of Japanese
public bodies, financial organisations and companies on
corporate, commercial,
finance,
employment and
real estate matters in
Japanese language, who appreciate his practical approach and over
20 years of working experience in the UK.
He is a regular contributor to FFW's internal training courses
where he adds our Japanese clients' cultural perspectives.
