Andrew Lucas specialises in all aspects of non-contentious
computer law. He has acted for both suppliers and customers in
numerous large-scale software procurements, and is currently an
adviser to many government departments on some of their most high
profile technology implementations. This advice includes
not only the drafting and negotiation of agreements and schedules
but also expert advice on the implementation of the public
procurement regulations.
His practice includes a number of US/UK based software
companies, assisting with the legal issues that they face doing
business within the UK and European markets, the outsourcing of key
services, software development, partnering agreements, data
protection, IT security, penetration testing and digital rights
management.
He is a regular speaker at conferences on issues such as
software project management and the law and the negotiation of
technology agreements. He also contributes to professional
and industry journals such as "Computer Weekly" and is a member of
the Society for Computers and Law.
