Andrew Morgan

Andrew Morgan has represented personal injury claimants since he began his legal career. He specialises in industrial diseases and accident claims. Whilst he concentrates on asbestos disease claims, he has recovered substantial awards of up to £2million in cases of catastrophic injuries following accidents at work.

Andrew also acts for accident and disease victims in claims for professional negligence against other solicitors where they have failed to recover full compensation for the client.

Andrew is a Fellow of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) where he is the Coordinator of the Occupational Health SIG.

He frequently writes and lectures on various aspects of personal injury law and practice.

Andrew has particular interest in and experience of addressing insurance issues at the industry level:

  • in the current DWP review, aimed at speeding up mesothelioma claims, he represents the interests of mesothelioma claimants as a member of APIL’s negotiating team
  • he was a member of APIL’s team in the Civil Justice Council Success Fee Negotiations presided over by the then Master of the Rolls, Lord Phillips
  • he speaks at insurance industry conferences
  • he appears in the insurance industry press

Andrew is a Consultant Editor to “Personal Injury Compensation”. He is also a contributor to the looseleaf “APIL Personal Injury Law, Practice and Precedents” published by Jordans.
