Andrew Morgan has represented personal injury
claimants since he began his legal career. He specialises in
industrial diseases and accident claims. Whilst he concentrates on
asbestos disease claims, he has recovered substantial awards of up
to £2million in cases of catastrophic injuries following accidents
at work.
Andrew also acts for accident and disease victims in claims for
professional negligence against other solicitors where they have
failed to recover full compensation for the client.
Andrew is a Fellow of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers
(APIL) where he is the Coordinator of the Occupational Health
SIG.
He frequently writes and lectures on various aspects of personal
injury law and practice.
Andrew has particular interest in and experience of addressing
insurance issues at the industry level:
- in the current DWP review, aimed at speeding up mesothelioma
claims, he represents the interests of mesothelioma claimants as a
member of APIL’s negotiating team
- he was a member of APIL’s team in the Civil Justice Council
Success Fee Negotiations presided over by the then Master of the
Rolls, Lord Phillips
- he speaks at insurance industry conferences
- he appears in the insurance industry press
Andrew is a Consultant Editor to “Personal Injury Compensation”.
He is also a contributor to the looseleaf “APIL Personal Injury
Law, Practice and Precedents” published by Jordans.
