Nigel Taylor is a corporate partner specialising in corporate finance and commercial law. His
practice spans the full range of corporate and commercial
transactions from acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures and
fundraisings to corporate reorganisations.
Nigel has 15 years' experience of acting for listed and unlisted UK
companies, overseas corporations and multinationals in a variety of
sectors from healthcare to transport and travel. In the public
sector he has advised many of the central government departments
and agencies, as well as statutory corporations and local
authorities. His recent experience includes advising on the
sale of Lifeways Community Care to August Equity, Arriva Trains on
three new train franchise bids and Arriva plc on its £130 million
disposal of Arriva Vehicle Rental to Northgate Plc. Most recently
he has advised Deutsche Bahn AG on its acquisition of Laing Rail
from Henderson Equity Partners and Marubeni Auto Investments on its
acquisition of Norton Way Motors.
Nigel lectures regularly on corporate transactions and related
legal issues. Recent speaking engagements include the Finance
Directors Summit at Claridges, Planning the Perfect Exit seminar
hosted by Business XL and as part of the firm's external seminar
