Peter Turner-Kerr is an of Counsel in our
Competition and EU Regulatory Group and
is based in Brussels. He specialises in competition law and
European Community law more generally, and has advised on a wide
range of EC and competition issues before the UK, Spanish and EC
competition authorities and the English, Spanish and European
Community courts.
Recent matters on which Peter has advised
include:
- Dow AgroSciences and others in proceedings
before the European Court of First Instance in the environmental
sector
- mmO2 plc in proceedings before the UK VAT
Tribunal and European Court of Justice in relation to a claim for
the recovery of value added tax claimed by it to have been paid on
the grant to it by the UK Secretary of State for Trade and Industry
of 3G mobile licences
- Visa Europe in proceedings before the
European Commission and before the Spanish courts relating to
interchange fees and payment cards
- Major music company EMI in relation to a
number of EC/competition law issues and investigations
- A multinational company in cartel
proceedings before the European Commission
- Major pharmaceutical companies on issues
relating to intra and extra-EEA parallel imports of pharmaceutical
products
- E.ON in relation to a complaint to the
European Commission under the competition rules and related
proceedings before the Community Courts
Peter speaks English, French, Spanish,
Italian and Portuguese. He is qualified to practice in
England and Wales and was admitted in 2000.
