Ian Barnard is a partner and a member of our Energy Group and our
Finance
Practice. He trained at Field Fisher Waterhouse and qualified
as a solicitor in 1984. Since then he has become experienced
in a wide range of commercial contracts, projects, financing
transactions and regulatory issues. Clients include both UK
and international companies.
Ian has particular experience in a number of industry sectors,
in particular: energy,
advising on gas transportation and storage facilities,
acquisitions and disposals of oil and gas assets and farm-in agreements, joint
operating agreements and other contractual and operational issues
and projects; shipping and asset finance, advising in particular on
shipbuilding contracts and the financing of ships, offshore
structures and yachts; and the rail industry, advising train
operators on regulated infrastructure access documents and rolling
stock leasing.
