Laura Berton has a broad range of experience in private sector
outsourcing, new
media and technology
transactions. She is an expert on the licensing of IPRs and has led
negotiations on many complex IT contracts.
As a commercial and IT lawyer, Laura has represented a wide
array of entrepreneurs, private companies in complex business
transactions as well as their ongoing needs as they arise in the
areas of intellectual property information technology, outsourcing,
procurement, e-commerce and data protection.
Laura frequently advises suppliers and acquirers on a range of
technology related contracts including IT and outsourcing contracts
and complex technology procurements. She is experienced in
assisting on a multinational on large scale outsourcing project
including the renegotiation of arrangements for outsourced desktop
services.
Laura specialises in the technology
& telecommunications and media & entertainment sectors. She has
experience of working on new media and internet matters with search
engines, content providers, online retailers and service providers,
including on connection with content acquisition, distribution, and
digital rights management; all forms of online contracting,
copyright issues, and other liability issues.
Laura speaks English, French (fluent), Spanish (good), Italian
(good) and Arabic (beginner).
