Olivia Baxendale is an associate
in the Employment and Pensions
Group. Since qualifying at Field Fisher
Waterhouse in 2009, Olivia has gained experience of contentious and
non-contentious employment work for both private and public sector employers. She has a varied
contentious caseload which includes defending claims of disability,
race, age and sex discrimination, unfair dismissal, constructive
dismissal and breach of contract.
Olivia has experience in providing advice
to clients on a range of non-contentious issues including
redundancies, TUPE transfers, reasonable adjustments, managing
employee's on long terms sickness absence, the national minimum
wage, contracts and handbooks, policies and procedures.
Olivia often presents at client
seminars and workshops and has recently presented client seminars
on managing long term sickness absence, the Agency Workers
Regulations and the Equality Act 2010 as part of the Employment and
Pensions annual training programme. Olivia also writes legal
updates for clients and articles for the Employment and Pensions
newsletter and blog. Olivia has recently written articles for
the Employment and Pensions newsletter on the right to legal
representation at a disciplinary hearing and the Agency Workers
Regulations.
