Robert Blamires has a broad range of experience in all areas of
media and technology and has particular expertise in the areas
of digital media and e-commerce.
Robert advises clients on a variety of commercial matters
including: content acquisition and distribution; software
development, licensing and escrow; technology acquisition,
exploitation and transfer; digital distribution and rights
management; and channel carriage and distribution. He advises
online businesses providing retail, content, search, gaming and
other services on: contractual issues; intellectual property
development, protection and exploitation; questions of liability;
and consumer-facing issues, such as website terms and conditions,
privacy policies and EULAs, as well as on related questions of
regulatory compliance.
Robert’s clients range from entrepreneurs and early stage
businesses to established multinationals, and he advises clients in
a variety of sectors, focussing on clients in the media & entertainment, and technology & telecommunications sectors.
Robert writes and speaks regularly on media and technology
issues. His recent speaking engagements include: presenting on
digital rights exploitation to the European Association of
Animation Film and presentations on Web 2.0 and virtual worlds at
Cambridge University and to the International Trademark
Association's Anti-counterfeiting Forum in Paris.
