Simon
Briskman is a transactional and advisory lawyer specialising in
outsourcing and
information and communications technology. His clients include some
of the world’s largest international corporations.
His outsourcing experience includes desktop, service desk,
applications support and all other forms of technology outsourcing,
telecoms network outsourcing; trading and funds management systems;
property; facilities management, warehousing and logistics; payroll
and accounting and a range of technology and business process
outsourcing transactions. He regularly works on offshoring and
international projects. Simon advises on major systems
procurements, telecoms network roll-outs and other technology
related projects. Simon regularly advises on e-commerce, data
protection and telecommunications privacy including emerging legal
issues.
Simon is on the editorial board of silicon.com. He has served on
Intellect’s Outsourcing Group Committee and is general counsel of
AccountAbility, a think tank dedicated to accountability and
sustainable development. He is deeply involved in the firm’s
CSR, diversity,
environmental and pro bono initiatives.
Simon serves a range of sectors including financial services, technology & technology & communications, property and
retail on complex and innovative
deals.
Simon regularly contributes to journals and speaks at seminars
on current outsourcing, technology, information security, data
privacy and governance issues affecting senior management and their
organisations. He has appeared on the BBC’s Working Lunch, You and
Yours and the Today programme talking about technology and
ecommerce issues, and been quoted in publications including the FT,
Times, Guardian and the Economist.
