Michael
Chissick is head of a group specialising in all aspects of information
technology, outsourcing and
e-commerce. He principally acts for users and suppliers of computer
systems and public telecommunications operators and also represents
a number of companies involved in the internet and
e-business.
The main areas of Michael's experience include outsourcing
projects, IT 
procurement and licensing, electronic commerce. Michael lectures
regularly
including to the Institute of Direct Marketing on legal issues and
to the City Of London Business School MBA Students.
Michael is the legal correspondent for technology law for
“Corporate Briefing”. He is on the editorial board of the
“International Management Journal for Business Strategy Management
and Interactive Marketing”. Michael has written “Electronic Commerce: Law & Practice”
published by Sweet & Maxwell (now in its third edition) and
“Internet Law - A Practical Guide for Business” published by FT
Media & Telecoms.
Michael also wrote "E-Government: A Practical
Guide to the Legal Issues" and was published by Sweet &
Maxwell in January 2004. It is the first ever E-Government
book.
He is a member of the Law Society, Solicitors European Group,
FAST Legal Advisory Group and the Computer Law Association.
