Verity Cruse joined Field Fisher
Waterhouse as a trainee and qualified into the pensions team in
2007. She advises trustees and employers of both large
institutional pension schemes and small
private schemes on a broad range of pensions matters. These include
day-to-day queries relating to, for example, death benefit claims
and age discrimination questions and more strategic matters such as
terminating accrual under a particular scheme. She has handled the
pensions aspects of various corporate transactions, from document
disclosure and due diligence reviewing to drafting of warranties
and indemnities. Verity specialises in the public sector.
Verity spoke at a presentation to Lehman
Brothers on the fundamental concepts of pension schemes (November
2007). She spoke at a pro bono event on trustees’ duties and
conflicts of interest (January 2008). Verity also spoke at
our recent workshop on compulsory pensions (March 2012).
Verity also speaks French (fluent)
and Spanish (competent).
