Carlton has broad corporate law and finance
experience advising private companies, public companies, directors
and shareholders on general company law matters and corporate transactional matters including
acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, fundraisings, strategic
investments and restructurings.
Carlton has particular experience of advising
clients in the media & entertainment
and technology & communications
sectors. He was a member of the team that advised the
consortium of broadcasters, ISPs and communications companies in
establishing the ground breaking YouView joint venture, for which
the firm was awarded TMT Team of the Year at the 2011 Legal
Business Awards. Carlton has advised on numerous M&A
transactions, joint ventures and strategic investments in these
sectors.
Other areas of focus include oil and gas,
where Carlton has a track record of acting for exploration and
production companies on pre-IPO capital sourcing.
