Gordon Drakes has experience in all aspects of commercial
intellectual property, from media and
sponsorship through to domestic and international franchising and
licensing deals.
Gordon gained commercial experience during a media secondment at
MTV, working on a number of deals in the emerging markets,
negotiating and drafting contracts for promotional events, channel
distribution and advertising agency services.
He has advised clients in the sport, life sciences and motor
vehicle sectors on distribution and agency models, together with
product liability and consumer warranty issues. He has also worked
on a number of international franchising and licensing deals for
well-known high street retailers, gaining valuable experience in
drafting and negotiating contracts for deals in the emerging
economies of the Middle East, Russia and India.
