Julie Desmarquest is a technology
lawyer and advises on a variety of general commercial contracts and
other non-contentious matters, and in particular on technology and
IP-related projects. Julie works for a wide variety of clients from
both the private and the public sectors and has been involved in a
number of large and complex IT procurements and outsourcing.
Julie's experience includes outsourcing agreements, linking
agreements, software licences, maintenance and support agreements,
data supply agreements, consultancy agreements, websites
development agreements, hosting agreements, terms and conditions
and privacy policies, product licensing agreements, retail
agreements; supervising and advising on the migration of an IT
system to an outsourced entity and advising on licence transfers.
Julie also advises on data protection, privacy and e-commerce.
Julie has been seconded to clients on numerous occasions and, as
part of a 9-month secondment, has had experience leading a major
supplier of consultancy and technology services on its bid
regarding a public procurement of eBusiness services. Julie has
also been seconded to a major media and entertainment company to
draft and negotiate a series of licensing and retail agreements as
part of a major global licensing programme.
