Louis-François du Castillon primarily focuses on national and
transnational mergers &
acquisitions and corporate strategic advice
ranging from start up companies to transnational groups or listed
companies. He regularly handles and supervises multi-disciplinary
aspects of asset or share deals, (leveraged) buy-outs and corporate restructurings.
Louis-François is also specialised in financial (corporate and
prudential) regulatory
and (international) not-for-profit entities.
His clients, which he provides day-to-day advice in a wide range of
business issues, are notably active in the venture capital, telecommunications, high-tech,
financial, retail, construction and luxury
sectors.
Louis-François graduated from the Université Catholique de
Louvain-La-Neuve (magna cum laude) and holds a postgraduate in
financial law from the University of Gent (RUG). He has written and
co-authored a number of publications on corporate and finance law,
including "The legal regime of companies having made a public call
on savings" (2003), the Economic Interest Groupings (2009) and the
cross-border mergers (2011) sections in the "Systematic Comment of
the Companies Code" and various publications about the squeeze-out
and corporate governance. Louis-François is quoted in Chambers
Global and in Legal 500 in the Belgian Corporate & M&A
section.
