Dr. Joachim Feldges, Managing Partner Germany,
based in the Munich office of Field Fisher Waterhouse specialises
in the field of Intellectual Property.
Dr. Feldges has practiced complex patent
litigation across all technical fields with a particular focus in
the fields of pharmaceuticals and biotechnology since more than 24
years. He is regularly advising clients in developing and
implementing international patent litigation strategies in the
various jurisdictions of Europe including the requirements through
parallel litigation in the US.
He represents regularly clients in front of
all major German Courts on infringement and validity cases,
including the courts in Düsseldorf, Mannheim and München, the
Federal Supreme Court and the Federal Patent Court. He is also
regularly involved in opposition proceedings at the EPO. Since his
admission to the Bar in 1987, Dr. Feldges has pleaded hundreds of
patent cases, most of them as first chair.
In addition to this trial experience, which
also includes arbitration and mediation, Dr. Feldges has
negotiated, drafted and revised and was involved in the dispute
resolution of numerous and multiple types of technology transfer
agreements in many regions of the world including apart from Europe
and the US also regions in CIS countries such as Belorussia and
Usbekistan.
Dr. Feldges is regularly asked by UNECE, the
EPO and foreign Ministries of Justice to contribute as an expert to
international conferences. Recent contributions include conferences
in China, Kazachstan, Kirgistan and Latvia. He is an author of many
publications in the field of patent law.
Dr. Feldges is Managing Partner for the German
Practice of Field Fisher Waterhouse with its offices in Düsseldorf,
Hamburg and Munich.
Joachim is listed by the renowned German legal
journal JUVE as one of the leading patent litigators in Germany.
Additionally, he is ranked as one of the internationally most
highly regarded individuals in the life sciences sector by Who’s
Who Legal and in Chambers.
