Marie-Caroline Frochot's main areas of
expertise are corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures. She acts for a wide variety of
French clients across most industry sectors with an emphasis on
information technology, media, healthcare and sport. Her clients include major French groups
and are generally quoted on Euronext.
Marie-Caroline has wide experience of
cross-border transactions between France and the UK, often
involving assets or companies in several other countries including
outside Europe. For the convenience of her French clients and to
avoid cross-cultural misunderstandings, she has set up the French
Desk team of French speakers who are mostly bi-national.
As head of the firm’s French country desk, she is
also the primary contact of French (or French speaking) clients,
whom she assists in collaboration with colleagues in a wide variety
of areas such as litigation, property, employment and intellectual
property, through teams of bilingual lawyers.
Marie-Caroline works in all sectors in which
her French clients operate with a particular emphasis on new
technologies, media, healthcare and sport.
Marie-Caroline writes numerous articles, many
in French. Some of these include: “The Issues Arising out of
Commercial Leases in UK Acquisitions”, “Negotiating a Deal in the
UK”, “The Issues Arising out of Pensions in UK Acquisitions”, all
of which have been published in Fusions & Acquisitions
magazine.
Marie-Caroline regularly lectures in France on
companies acquisitions in the UK.
Marie-Caroline is fluent in French and has a
working knowledge of Spanish.
